Our Kona team

In the spirit of the new year and since all I read on the internet or on TV are lists of top ten stories. I decided to come up with our MarkAllenOnline top ten stories. They are in no particular order so do not read anything into the order. But I do wish all of you reading this a happy new year and I do hope that the new year brings you health and happiness.

5 Continents and 49 countries - Just the other day I decided to do a report from our database based on the billing country of the credit card used by athletes to pay for our services. Turns out we coached people in 49 countries and all continents. Wow! That was even surprising to me. Here are some of the countries. Morocco, Honk Kong, Kuwait, Philippines, Croatia, Panama, Costa Rica, Norway, Argentina and many more.

Videos - This year we started bringing you videos. You will see many more. Who knew Mark Allen could come up with videos so well directed.

Marco Coelho - In 2007 we hired some help and after an very exausting search period we decided to hire Marco Coelho. He has done a great job already and we are glad he is on board.

5 podium finishers in Kona – For years we have helped many qualify for Kona for the first time. Even one of our beta testers qualified for Kona back in 2001. But we had never had so many podium finishers in Hawaii as this year. That was fun to see.

Las Vegas Baby – This year we went to Interbike in Las Vegas to talk to potential sponsors. That was fun. It was very tiring however. I wish they had more chairs in some of those booths.

Out of state camps – For the first time I held training camps outside Colorado. I used to do races in many places to see the country. Now I can do similar with my camps.

Forum community - In 2007 I started our forum. I always felt that every time we answered a question we put a lot of energy into it and it would be a good idea to share the questions and answer with many of our athletes. The forum does this. But unlike many internet forums. This is not a free for all and every questions and answer is moderated. So we have control of what goes on there.

Sweepstakes – This year we asked our sponsors if they would donate some of their products and we could have a sweepstakes. This was a big hit with people and we will continue doing it every year.

Kona Expo Booth – Our booth In Kona was killer and we were very happy with it. We purchased a custom top and table drapes, flowers and displayed some of the sweepstakes products. It was great.

Great sponsors sign up – Our Vegas trip and all the efforts by Marco have resulted in a great line up of sponsors for 2008. I can not let the cat out of the bag but stay tuned.

Happy New Year.
